Not to be outdone by Denver, Toronto hosted their own stadium fire tonight.
Unlike Denver, though, the Toronto fire took place during a basketball game. Whoa. We guess we know who did it better!
The began during the first half of the game between the Toronto Raptors and the Indiana Pacers. Unfortunately, the fans weren’t able to take in the added excitement, as the game was paused and Scotiabank Arena was evacuated.

The fans were reportedly really excited about the neat fire.
The Raptors and Pacers were eventually able to finish their game, but the folks who bought tickets to the special basketball and fire event weren’t allowed back in the arena. Some fans continued to linger outside the arena, hours after the game was finished, in the hopes of getting a snapshot of some smoke or a burned up basketball being hauled outside to the trash.
Good luck with your repairs, Raptors! Stay safe, everyone!
