Shortly after the Jets’ demoralizing Monday Night loss to the undefeated Patriots, Quarterback Sam Darnold announced a mono relapse.

“I’m running a really high fever,” Darnold told reporters. “Probably going to be out for a bit.”

“The spleen is crucial,” recent spleen expert Darnold added. “There is a definitely a corroboration between spleens and interceptions. So you can definitely attribute bad passes to an unhealthy spleen.”
