Nets Beat Bucks in Game 5 Spectacle

What a whirlwind! When we went to bed last night, Brooklyn Net and Basketball Expert James Harden was out for Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks. And then when we woke up, he was all suited up and ready to play!

Many thought it questionable that head coach Steve Nash would allow Harden to play with his injured hamstring. Many thought it was even more questionable for the refs to allow James Harden to play with “mild assistance.” But look, folks, that’s just what happens when you achieve legend status and you’re playing on your home court!

James Harden fends off Giannis Antetokounmpo with his crutches, kicking off a 13-0 scoring run for the Nets!

The few scattered Bucks fans in attendance were mad when Harden came out with crutches–and then used them to poke the ball away from the Bucks, racking up an impressive 50 steals. At one point, Harden made a field goal and then celebrated by throwing a crutch through the hoop as well! Nothing but net! The officials were so impressed, they gave the Nets two bonus points.

The complaints from the Bucks team were drowned out by the roar from the crowd when Harden returned from halftime on a motorized scooter! He proceeded to chase down the Antetokounmpo brothers and their friends, shouting menacing things and brandishing the crutches at them. When Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer complained to the officials about the scooter, they told him to pound sand. James Harden had taken zero steps, since he was on his scooter–and you can’t travel if you don’t take a step!

The Bucks are hoping for better luck at Game 6 on their home court.
