Washington Commanders fans and ticket holders have reason to hope rich Amazonian businessman Jeff Bezos buys their team.

The Commanders, formerly known as the Washington Footballs, are being sued for scamming ticket holders out of their hard-earned wealth. And the new owner could be on the hook to pay back the stolen deposits!

“I’m getting tired of the DC jokes,” complained a longtime Washington sports team fan. “We get it. Congressmen are crooked, the football teams are crooked. Get some new material.”

“I wish they’d bring back the name we all liked, the Washington Footballs,” said one DC resident. “Everything was great when we were the Footballs.”
