What NBA Players Do After Being Ejected

Today’s NBA basketball games saw some high-profile ejections of famous basketball players! This prompted folks around the world to ask, what do basketball players do to pass the time after their ejections?

Sports experts were quick to weigh in with the top five activities of ejected basketball players.

#5. Candy Crush
We all love mobile games, and professional basketball athletes are no different from us everyday Joe’s, except for being a lot taller. ”Candy Crush Saga is a favorite,” said a basketball expert. ”But lately players have been checking out those puzzle games where the ad shows some bonehead who can’t tap on three teddy bears to match them and then asks the viewer if they can help this fictional dummy who keeps tapping on one teddy bear, then a second teddy bear, and then an American black bear. What a dolt. Everybody can recognize good ol’ ursus americanus.”

“Lol that has the word ‘anus’ in it,” said a kid.

#4. Meditation
“Sometimes after a hard game, it’s just nice to be alone with your thoughts,” said an NBA aficionado. ”Ninety-five percent of professional basketball players self-report that they like to meditate after being ejected. They like having some time to quietly reflect on their actions. Isn’t that great?”

#3. Minecraft
“Draymond Green never goes to a game without his iPad,” said a close friend of Mr. Green. ”Last season, he started playing Minecraft after being ejected. He’s been recreating the Golden State Warriors court in Minecraft using only blocks of diamonds!”

Looking good, Draymond Green!

#2. Catching Up On Shows
When you’re not out on the court, it’s a great chance to get caught up on your shows! ”With all the streaming services out there, the players can always find a hot new show to check out,” said an NBA insider. ”One time, Nikola Jokić was bingeing ‘Breaking Bad’, and he got ejected in the first half on purpose because he wanted to find out what happened next to Walter White and his family. So zany!”

#1. Jigsaw Puzzles
We all know mobile game puzzles are a blast, but sometimes you just need a good old fashioned jigsaw puzzle! Friends of the San Antonio Spurs say the players often compete with each other during shootaround practice time, and the player who scores the most points gets first dibs on committing a foul to get ejected so he can go work on the puzzle. ”One time, Tre Jones won, and he was looking for a good opportunity to commit a foul so he could go finish putting together all the edge pieces in the cute kitten puzzle the team was working on. But [head coach] Gregg Popovich decided that he wanted to play with the puzzle, too, so he went and got himself ejected first! By the time the players got back to the locker room at halftime, Coach P had put together all the edge pieces and most of the kittens’ faces!”

So, folks, what do you do to pass the time when you’re ejected at your job? Share in the comments!
