As most folks know, MetLife Stadium in New York is the home of both the New York Giants and the New York Jets. Whoa! And we thought our house was crowded on Thanskgiving!
Many are wondering how the staff at MetLife Stadium prepped the grass for the Jets game on Sunday and then fixed everything up for the Giants game on Monday.
“Obviously they had to mow the grass,” said a New York resident with a well-maintained lawn. “You have to get all the Jets paint off the center logo and the endzones and all that. Or you have to trim the grass down so the old paint is no longer visible–and then get the grass to re-grow overnight? How is that possible? What kind of fertilizer is the MetLife staff using?”

“Oh, we just play classical music using the stadium sound system,” said a MetLife employee. “Everybody knows plants like music! And we talk to the grass in the endzone and at the center of the field, so it grows faster. The grass likes to hear all of our messy personal drama. We had to mow it twice in one day when my coworker Tim got divorced.”
“Wait, are you serious,” said the New York resident with a well-maintained lawn.
“Of course I’m serious, I work here,” said the MetLife employee.
The MetLife employee was not in fact serious because MetLife Stadium uses FieldTurf brand artificial turf instead of grass! But if you want to play it safe with your garden in the spring, you still have time to make some new friends with messy lives to tell your plants about.
