An NBA fan who has several seasons of experience managing a Fantasy Basketball team is sharing advice with Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf!

“We all know [Center Nikola] Vučević is starting to get up there in years,” said the fantasy owner who has been in a league with his high school buddies since 2018. “He’s going to be a free agent, and the Bulls are talking about extending. But think about it–how much is he worth, and would the Bulls be better off trading him?”

“Here’s what I would do. I’ve done this before, by the way, 70% success rate.”

“You have to capitalize on ‘Nikola fever’ with Nikola Jokić. Take a look at the time zones that some other owners are in. And then send a trade offer for Vučević in the middle of rush hour.”

“They other owner will be driving, distracted by the road, the phone will buzz, they’ll look at the screen real quick, and–whoa! Nikola Jokić! Better hit the accept button asap before the trade is rescinded!”

“Then when they get home, they’ll take a look at the trade and realize what happened. But by then it’ll be too late, the Bulls will have a haul of future draft picks and maybe even some cold hard cash!”
