Lookout folks! It’s almost time for the 2026 Mad Basketball Month to begin! Have you filled out your bracket yet?

This is what a Mad Marchball Basket Bracket looks like:

First you get a list of like 64 teams, and you have to pick who all the winners will be. But we have hacks to help you make easy pickin’s!

Rule #1. If you went to a school that’s participating in Mad Bracketball Basket March, you are required by law to select your alma mater to win it all. If you pick a different school and your school wins, they will revoke your degree. It’s just too risky.

Rule #2. If a family member or a chum went to a school on the list, then you should pick them to win it all. Imagine how happy your cousin Bob will be when you tell him, “Hey Bob, I picked the Huskies to win it all because I know they’re your alma mater.” Your family will love you forever.

“I told my sister-in-law that I picked the Michigan Wolves to win it all because she went there, and she got mad because she actually went to Ohio State and now my brother isn’t speaking to me anymore.”

Rule #3. If you and your fam didn’t go to any of the schools on the list, do you have a fave team? Maybe there’s one with a cool name or a neat mascot. Pick that one to go all the way!

“I’ve been picking Gonzaga to win the bracket every year since I was 10 because it sounds like ‘bazongas’ and I think those are cool. But they’ve never won 😦 “

After you have your winner picked out, you can just guess at the rest. Easy peasy!
