After the NFL’s recent decision to fine Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes for their criticism of NFL officials, everyday fans are starting to worry about their own finances.

“I didn’t mean it, honest,” whispered a nervous Arizona Cardinals fan. ”I really thought the refs missed a pass interference call. So I said out loud, ‘Come on, refs, open your eyes!’ I totally forgot about my wife’s new Amazon Echo Alexa in the kitchen. I didn’t mean to say it, I didn’t! And of course, after watching the instant replay, I saw that in fact the 49ers did not commit pass interference. Of course, our esteemed NFL officials, with all of their training and experience, would make the right call. It was stupid of me, an average regular Joe with no professional football experience, to second-guess the call. Please don’t fine me, I don’t have anywhere near 100 grand in my account, and I still need to buy gifts for my kids.”

“I don’t care who hears me,” shouted a gambler. ”Hey Siri! Tell the refs my dog could have made a better call!” It is still unknown if this rebellious fan will face financial consequences for sharing his opinion.
