College football analysts were shocked to learn that fewer than ten percent of college football fans watched the conference championship games.
“I don’t get it, the teams have worked all year for this,” said a confused Big Wig at the Securities and Exchange Commission. “Who wouldn’t want to tune in and see the result of all the players’ hard work?”
“Look, I’m not going to lie, it’s just too confusing,” lamented a frustrated fan. “Like, I root for my fave college team, sure. And if they’re not in the championship game, why would I watch it? And why would I watch some different random conference championship game? There are too many! You’ve got the PAC and the MAC and the Ten or Twelve or however many. And then the federal government has a whole league, but it’s all in the South? And what the heck are you supposed to watch if you live in Texas? The state is big and all, but why are their teams all over the place? I just gave up this year, I had shopping to do.”
“Yeah, why are there so many conferences,” said another fan. “It’s like alphabet soup, am I right?” A bunch of nearby strangers applauded.
