The NBA’s experimental in-season tournament has brought a 500% increase in viewership to NBA games.

“We knew people would love an in-season tournament,” said Commissioner Adam Silver. “Folks love to see fun rivalries, and it feels like there’s more at stake!”

“Whoa, look how weird this court looks, it’s like all purple and stuff” said an excited basketball viewer. “I can’t look away, I guess I’ll watch the whole game.”

The powers-that-be at the NBA Mothership are considering having even more wild courts in 2024.

“What if we used only neon colors and made all the fonts Comic Sans,” mused an NBA marketing analyst.

“Maybe we should let kids design the courts,” said another employee. “It would be visually jarring and heart-warming at the same time!”
