Duolingo Removes Language Options Amid NCAA Investigation

The University of Michigan Wolverines are under investigation for stealing coaching signs from their fellow NCAA competitors, and the evidence is piling up!

College football coaches make up all kinds of secret codes so they can communicate with the players about what plays to run without all the other busybody teams snooping on them.

“We have several bankers boxes full of evidence,” bragged a NCAA investigator on the case, prompting many to ask, what is a bankers box?

“It’s this baby right here,” said the investigator, grabbing a boring looking white box and dumping the contents on the table. The box was full of iPhones in evidence bags. Whoa! Is that the new titanium?

“This here is key evidence.”

It turns out every player and staff member had downloaded the educational language-learning app Duolingo.

“That’s how these punks get you,” explained the investigator. “They make you think they’re studying for their Spanish test. But they’re actually in the middle of unit three of the University of Wisconsin’s coaching signs!”

It’s been that easy all along!

“And after we get all these phones unlocked, we’ll prove it!”

According to sources, Duolingo has since removed all coaching sign languages from their course options. Representatives of Big Language were dismayed by this turn of events. “It’s hard to get kids excited about learning languages. We really sparked some excitement in these kids, and now the flame is extinguished.”

Good luck on your Spanish tests, Wolverines!
