Folks in Washington DC are planning their weekend around game time for the local MLB team, the Washington Nationals!

“I googled the game earlier,” said a DC resident who plans ahead. “It’s in the afternoon. I think I’ll take my kids to the zoo right after lunch. And then maybe we can visit the art gallery, the Lincoln Memorial, the Cathedral, all the Smithsonians. Hey, it’s summer, it’s time to get out and explore!”

When the interviewer suggested taking the kids to the Nationals game, the DC resident said, “You shut your mouth! Did anybody hear you??”

Upon seeing the game time, another Washington resident said, “Oh, I actually have plans at that time. Doggone. Yeah, I wish I could watch the game, I mean, baseball is as American as apple pie! Really wish I could watch. But I have to go to the memorial. All of the memorials. Lincoln, Jefferson, all the veterans, every veteran! Yeah, it’ll take a while. Will definitely miss the entire game, darn!”
