NFL Comments on New Kickoff Rules

The NFL big wigs recently announced rule changes regarding kickoffs, and football players and coaches were not having it!

NFL insiders have been in many discussions about potential rule changes for 2023, and the big one they settled on puts the ball at the 25-yard line if the receiver calls for a fair catch.

If you watch a lot of football and that rule sounds familiar to you, it’s because that’s the kickoff rule for college football.

“This is so stupid,” complained an NFL rookie player who wished to remain anonymous. “I just got done playing this baby football game. I thought I was going to be playing a real game for grown-ups and risking my life out there on the field trying to return a kickoff for a touchdown. This is crap, man. I’m ready to be a grown-up, I don’t watch ‘Barney’ anymore.”

“I don’t know what to tell you,” snapped an NFL employee. “I was in that meeting. We were told to ‘innovate’ and that was the only viable idea.”
